Piano lessons at M & J music studio are offered by both James and Melissa. Lessons are given once a week in half hour sessions although longer lessons can be arranged. Our goal is to create an enjoyable musical experience, therefore we combine traditional method books with repertoire that the students choose themselves. Books can be purchased through your teacher or at your local music store.
Voice lessons are offered by Melissa in 30 or 45 minute sessions. Students are offered a variety of repertoire and are encouraged to choose music styles that they enjoy. Vocal technique is taught through vocalising as well as repertoire. Melissa also offers Royal Conservatory exam preparation, Music Festival participation as well as audition coaching.
Musical theatre camps are available for students age 6-18.
Broadway for Kids is held each summer in two one week sessions. It is a camp for 6-12 year olds that focuses on singing, dancing and acting. Students create their own musical production to be performed at the end of the week.
The Teen Musical Theatre Performing group produces a full mainstage musical each summer. Past productions include Cinderella, Grease, The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast. Our 2011 summer musical will be announced in January.
